The BAJA® Bandit 4-Wheel 40Ah Lithium Mobility Scooter combines the compact, agile design of the Bandit with a higher-capacity lithium battery for riders who want significantly more driving range between charges.

The Bandit supports up to 400 lbs and reaches a maximum speed of up to 8 mph. With the upgraded 40Ah lithium-ion battery pack, Pride rates the scooter for up to 29 miles per charge at 220 lbs and up to 22.5 miles at the full 400 lb weight capacity. This is approximately double the rated range of the standard 20Ah battery configuration.

Its full suspension system helps smooth out rough and uneven surfaces, while approximately 4.45″ of ground clearance at mid-deck gives the Bandit useful capability on outdoor paths and varied firm terrain. Ground clearance is approximately 2.68″ at the front bumper and 1.57″ at the motor skid plate.

The scooter measures approximately 49.6″ long and 27.83″ wide, with a compact 53″ turning radius. Solid 9.4″ front and rear tires eliminate the need to maintain air pressure while retaining a rugged outdoor setup.

The standard stadium seat measures approximately 18.31″ wide by 17.32″ deep and uses black vinyl upholstery. Pride also offers a larger 20″ x 17″ stadium seat as an optional upgrade. The scooter uses a rear-wheel-drive sealed transaxle with a 36-volt DC motor, together with regenerative and electromechanical braking.

The 40Ah lithium battery weighs approximately 35.2 lbs, bringing total scooter weight to approximately 197.8 lbs with the battery installed. A 4-amp off-board lithium charger is standard. Pride specifically identifies the Bandit lithium batteries as not airline-compliant.

Additional features include an infinitely adjustable tiller, integrated USB charging, an XLR charger connection, a full LED lighting package, front basket, full bumper protection, supplemental braking, and Pride’s feather-touch disassembly system.

Pride identifies the BAJA Bandit as an FDA Class II Medical Device with HCPCS code K0899. Current warranty coverage includes a lifetime-limited frame warranty, two-year drivetrain and electronics warranties, and a three-year lithium battery warranty.
